Ways to tap into your Willpower:
Positive self-talk. Sometimes we just don't believe we have the ability to exercise self-control. Before you go to sleep, write a note on your mirror that will motivate you when you wake up and start your day. Try setting alarms on your watch or phone to remind you throughout the day why you want to stay on track!
Tap into our Successes. Think back to times that you successfully used your willpower; a day when you maintained self-control all day and stuck to your eating plan or a week when you knocked out all of your workouts.
Believe you are creating momentum. Because you are. Each time you complete something that supports reaching your goals, kick in your positive self-talk again; Tell yourself you are on the right track and well on your way. Then think ahead to the next act that will feed your momentum and decide then to do it. This positive momentum will help your mind to realize that your willpower gets stronger as you build that snowball effect.
